Dried Self heal Prunella vulgaris

Grown organically and packaged by hand from our garden in Southern Tasmania 

In folk medicine Selfheal is used internally as a pain reliever and diuretic agent for skin rashes, pain in the stomach and intestines, headaches, etc.: pour 1-2 teaspoons of finely crushed herb with 1 teaspoon of boiling water, let it cool , strain and drink in small portions. Dose for 1 day.

Externally, the same infusion is used to apply to the breasts of nursing mothers in case of inflammation in the form of warm paws.

Sometimes used Infused in oils to make herbal salves , soaps and tinctures.
